Erin Strathe, one of our newest interns, grew up in the southeast portions of Kansas. She is the youngest of three siblings and her best friend is her canine companion named Tillie.
While here at Kansas State University she is pursuing a degree in interdisciplinary studies-humanities. After sampling several different majors and a multitude of courses in agriculture, science, economics, mathematics, and Spanish she has found the right career path, pre-law. Once all the hard classes were out of her way, she says was finally free to enroll in a few history classes for fun and discovered her hidden passion for things in the distant past.
Erin says, “Dr. Morgan’s Lost Kansas Communities class got me hooked on historical research. I am excited to continue exploring the history of women in Kansas as I intern with the Chapman Center this semester.”
We would like to welcome Erin to the Chapman Center and wish her well in the 2012 Spring semester.
