The Chapman Center for Rural Studies is proud to announce two additions to our office staff!
We welcome Laura Perez and Jessamyn Rock. Both military spouses from Fort Riley, these women run the day-to-day tasks associated with the Center.
Laura is our Program/Project Assistant. She steps into this new role to the Center as a marketing and social media manager. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Perez is an expert in reputation management and digital advertising. She is responsible for all social media coordination and project organization.
Laura will also be involved with the writing and editing of The Rural Telegraph and the CCRS web page run out of K-State. Along with keeping the voice of the Center alive, Perez will have a hand in publicizing and promoting the finished work of our NEH Grant Students. Be on the look out for the finalized projects soon! We can’t wait to further the Chapman Center brand with her help. She is also an avid gardener and loving fur-mom.
Jessamyn is the Center’s Office Specialist. She is our Human Capital Services liaison and accounting and records manager. With a degree in History and a Master’s in Historical Administration and Public History, Jessamyn is our go-to gal for all things CCRS-related. We are so excited to have someone so knowledgeable on our team!
A Montgomery, Alabama native, Rock is an experienced curator, archivist, and teacher. She is responsible for coordinating travel and involved in our Center’s event planning. This family-oriented office manager is helping to keep us organized and on top of everything. A bookworm and hard-working mother of two, we are happy to have her on board.
